As Queen Elizabeth’s 1953 coronation approaches, a secret agent and a scientist track terrorist mastermind “M” and his mind-control weapon, the Mega Wave.

This live-action adaptation is based on the 1950s European cult-classic comic series Blake & Mortimer by Edgar P. Jacobs, which has sold 20 million copies worldwide and been translated into 15 languages. The screenplay was co-written by Jan Kounen (Dobermann) and Jay Ferguson (Guidestones). 

Ted Lasso star Phil Dunster and Corey Mylchreest (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story) have signed on for the action-spy thriller. Mylchreest will play MI5 Captain Francis Blake opposite Dunster as physicist Philip Mortimer.

Vincent Cassel (Ocean’s Twelve), Rupert Friend (Homeland), and Emilia Schüle (Marie Antoinette) round out the cast with French director and Oscar nominee Cédric Nicolas-Troyan (The Huntsman: Winter’s War) at the helm. 

Mister Smith Entertainment is handling international sales for the French-Belgian-UK co-production. CAA is representing the US rights. Belga will distribute the film in the Benelux. This project is in pre-production.
